Parcel Protection caps at $800 USD regardless of the shipment’s declared value. There is no limit on how many shipments you can protect.
Currency conversion
For shipments where the declared value is in a currency other than USD, a 4% currency conversion fee is applied when calculating the protection cost. This rate accounts for exchange rate fluctuations, processing costs, and settlement risk — ensuring consistent and transparent pricing regardless of when your shipment is processed.UniUni does not use live market exchange rates. The 4% conversion fee is a fixed margin applied to the mid-market rate at the time of transaction to provide rate certainty and protect against currency volatility.
Adding Parcel Protection to a shipment
You can add Parcel Protection at two points in a shipment’s lifecycle:- During shipment creation — enable the Parcel Protection option at the add-ons step before purchasing your label.
- While editing a shipment — toggle Parcel Protection on or off any time before the shipment reaches Received status.
