# Duties & Clearance

> Select a customs clearance type for your US-bound shipment. Required for all cross-border shipments to the United States.

All shipments to the United States require customs clearance. This step appears after Delivery Notes and must be completed before entering package contents.

Prepayment of customs duties and fees is required for all US-bound shipments, regardless of which clearance type you choose.

## Clearance types

### Postal Clearance

The shipment is cleared through the international postal system. **Shipments under 15 oz qualify for International Postal Clearance at a highly competitive rate** — making this the best value option for lightweight products.

* Exceptionally competitive pricing for shipments under 15 oz
* Ideal for small, lightweight products such as beauty items (lip liners, eye liners), subscription sock boxes (3 pairs per month), jewelry, stickers, and other low-weight goods

### Commercial Clearance

The shipment is cleared through a commercial courier with full customs brokerage support.

* Full tracking visibility through customs
* More reliable and consistent transit times
* Better option for time-sensitive or higher-value shipments
