# Automated Printing

> Print labels directly to your printer from the UniUni Platform without downloading a file first.

Automated printing lets you send a label directly to your printer without downloading a PDF to your computer first. This saves time and reduces manual steps in your workflow.

  Automated printing is an **optional** feature. It requires **QZ Tray**, a free third-party application that must be installed on your computer. Standard [Download & Print](/en/label-printing/download-and-print) works without any additional setup.

## How It Works

UniUni Platform integrates with [QZ Tray](https://qz.io/download/) — a lightweight background application that connects web apps to local printers. Once installed and running, the platform can send print jobs directly to your printer with a single click.

## Setup

1. Download and install [QZ Tray](https://qz.io/download/) on your computer.
2. Launch QZ Tray — it will run silently in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (macOS).
3. Return to the UniUni Platform. It will automatically detect QZ Tray and enable automated printing.
