# About Batches

> Organize and consolidate shipments into batches for efficient drop-off on the UniUni Platform.

The **Batches** page lets you group shipments together for consolidated drop-off. Each batch gets its own batch label — a single scannable label you print and attach to your box or bag of shipments — so UniUni can track and process the entire group at once.

<Note>
  Batching and obtaining a batch label for your shipments is completely free — there's no charge to create or use batches on the UniUni Platform.
</Note>

## What is a batch?

A batch is a named collection of shipments committed for drop-off together. Instead of handing off packages individually, you group them, print one batch label, and drop off the whole container in a single handoff.

## When to use batches

Batches are recommended any time you're dropping off more than one shipment at a UniUni drop location. If more than one loose shipment is received on the same day without a batch, a **handling fee** will be charged to your wallet.

<Note>
  If you're using a fulfillment integration (Shopify, ShipStation, WooCommerce) or the REST API, make sure to batch your shipments before drop-off to avoid handling fees.
